Data Release Policy

../blue_line.gif

Our policy is to make images available as soon as practicable after that region of the sky has been observed. However users should be aware of the following;

Form of released data

In the interests of providing images with reasonably uniform noise characteristics, we will release observations mosaiced into 4x4-degree FITS images, on a grid which matches that employed by the NVSS.

When will it be available

Many completed mosaics are now available for your inspection.

If you don't want entire mosaics, you can get a smaller postage stamp. Between seven and seventeen 12-hour observations are needed to complete a mosaic, and hence there are often delays in completing individual mosaics.

As the survey progresses we expect to release completed mosaics on a quarterly basis.

Future Revisions

We are planning more than one generation of data products. The initial generation will be images that have been deconvolved with the CLEAN algorithm, but contain sidelobe structures in fields containing bright sources.

Later releases, with improved deconvolution and self-calibration are planned.
