This directory tree contains the synthesised images for MGPS1.
(First Molonglo Galactic Plane Survey)

The images are in FITS format.

Each image has been formed from the raw telescope data
by 'back projection' following calibration. The images
have been cleaned and in some cases adaptively deconvolved.

Note that multiple observations exist of several fields.

Before the MGPS1 mosaics were formed, the images listed here
were inspected by eye and 'blanked' if necessary. Consequently
it is not possible to reproduce precisely the mosaic images
by superimposing the individual images.

Users of these data should be aware of the characteristic 
artifacts produced by the MOST. Queries regarding these and any
other matter relating to the MGPS1 survey may be directed to ....
